Caving weekend in Somerset 15-17 March 2019
At short notice, we have been invited to attend a caving trip with another scout group (historically we have had an annual caving trip to Somerset in June). The caving is for absolute novices and equipment will be provided (furry onesies, oversuits, helmets, lamps etc). For footwear the scouts will require wellies. The plan would be to leave Moulton Village Hall on Friday about 17:30 for Wells, Somerset (hoping to arrive at about 22.00). We will stay in 1st Wells Scout Group hut. On Saturday we will cave at
Burrington Coombe doing some very basic caves and on the Sunday we will cave at Swildon’s Hole. We will aim to leave Somerset at 16.00 to try and get back to Moulton for 20.00 on the Sunday.
The cost will be in the region of £75-80 per scout for everything.
This is a great opportunity for the scouts and I would encourage any of the scouts to participate in this adventure.
Please can you drop me an email (email@example.com) by 21 February if you are interested and/or you want any additional information.
